Field hockey: Official HWS tournament seeds

The fourth annual Hunterdon-Warren Sussex tournament begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday with pigtail round games. Official pairings and seeds were announced on Thursday. Open Mike obtained them one day early and nothing changed from our previous post.

Saturday's winners advance to the Round of 16 to be played on Saturday, Oct. 6. The quarterfinals will be played on Saturday, Oct. 13 and semifinals on Saturday, Oct. 20. The championship game will be contested on Saturday, Oct. 27 at Hackettstown High School. All games are 2 p.m., except the quarterfinal round which is 10 a.m.

Warren Hills is the defending champion -- winning the school's first title with a 3-1 victory over High Point in last year's title game at Vernon.
