Injury time: Cullen Day, Phillipsburg (D1).

Notes: Aragona remained unbeaten with a 3-1 win over Harrison in the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex finals, converting a takedown in the closing seconds of the third period. Melfochik had a solid tournament, finishing third while also avenging an earlier loss to Hwang. District 1 just got even more interesting as Caso made the drop from 113. Day, sidelined with an injury, was in the Top 5, but drops out for now. Godfrey beat DiGena, 3-0, on Saturday.

113

1. Jr. Daniel Percelay, DePaul (D4)
2. Sr. Kyle Markus, Phillipsburg (D1)
3. Jr. Mark DiGeronimo, Kittatinny (D3)
4. Jr. Jacob Falleni, Lenape Valley (D2)
5. Fr. Scott Jarosz, Roxbury (D2)

Others to watch: Christian Deehan, Pope John (D3); Randy Wyble, Butler (D4); Kyle Wulff, Warren Hills (D1); Joe Carmichael, Pequannock (D4); Scott Finnis, Randolph (D2); Ryan Richards, Jefferson (D3).

Notes: Markus looked sharp in winning the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex Tournament title -- decking DiGeronimo in 1:39. DiGeronimo dominated Falleni before getting the pin in the semifinals. Falleni finished fourth and beat Deehan, 10-6, in the quarterfinals. Wulff pinned Deehan en route to a sixth-place finish. Jarosz, who beat Carmichael, 6-0, earlier this season, and dropped a 2-0 decision to DiGeronimo, enters at No. 5.

120

1. Jr. Shane Metzler, West Morris (D1)
2. So. Jake Rotunda, Pope John (D3)
3. So. Alex Carida, Hackettstown (D1)
4. So. Codey O'Rourke, Warren Hills (D1)
5. Jr. Connor Murphy, Wayne Valley (D4)

Others to watch: Perry Maio, Kittatinny (D3); Steve Pocze, Pequannock (D4); Evan Vazquez, Roxbury (D2); Anthony Zungoli, Wayne Hills (D4); Nick Gentile, Montville (D2).

Injury time: Garrett Gerndt, Sparta (D3); Tom Kosar, Phillipsburg (D1).

Notes: Shaking things up here a bit as Gerndt and Kosar missed the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex Tournament with injuries. Carida, who went 132 for HWS, placed sixth. O'Rourke, who also sat out on Saturday, enters for the first time as does Murphy, who owns a 4-1 win over Maio. The Kittatinny sophomore placed fourth at HWS. Rotunda was impressive in winning the title, earning a 9-2 win over Hunterdon Central state qualifier Peter Nace.

126

1. Sr. Troy Stanich, Roxbury (D2)
2. Sr. Garrett O'Shea, Butler (D4)
3. Jr. Matt Valli, Warren Hills (D1)
4. Fr. Robert Garcia, Pope John (D3)
5. Sr. Joe Renne, Hackettstown (D1)

Others to watch: Damian Maver, DePaul (D4); Nick Cassidy, Belvidere (D1); Jared Inglett, Wayne Hills (D4); Calvin Brook, Kittatinny (D3); Chris Shrieks, Jefferson (D3); Kyle Tino, Phillipsburg (D1); Dylan Hanlon, Mount Olive (D1).

Notes: New No. 1 here after Garcia's stunning 11-8 win over Renne in the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex Tournament semifinals. Valli (12-0) handed Garcia a 6-5 loss in the finals and earned the OW Award. Stanich took his first loss, bumping to 132 against Hanover Park's Lou Raimo, who used a spladle for the pin in 45 seconds. O'Shea had received three forfeits in his past six bouts heading into the week.

132

1. Sr. Nick Klinger, Kittatinny (D3)
2. Jr. Richard Reimers, Roxbury (D2)
3. So. Anthony Mastroeni, Hopatcong (D2)
4. So. Connor Meytrott, Montville (D2)

Others to watch: Anthony Rua, Wayne Hills (D4); Shane Murphy, Mount Olive (D1); Alex Winant, Mendham (D1); Mark Bohn, Jefferson (D3); Ryan Luchs, Pope John (D3).

Injury time: Brandon Paetzell, Phillipsburg (D1).

Notes: Klinger made history by becoming just the third wrestler and first from Sussex County to win three titles in the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex Tournament, scoring a 6-4 win over Delaware Valley's Matt Kolonia, who was fourth in Region 5 last season. Reimers posted a nice 10-2 win over Hanover Park's Sean Conley, who was a Region 3 runner-up last season. Mastroeni took third at HWS, dropping an 11-3 decision to Kolonia in the semifinals. McCarthy was fifth at HWS.

138

1. Sr. Austin Scrivani, Kittatinny (D3)
2. Sr. Michael DeClario, Kinnelon (D4)
3. Jr. Chris Grecco, Pompton Lakes (D4)
4. Sr. Tyler Agans, Phillipsburg (D1)
5. Jr. Kade Loughney, West Morris (D1)

Others to watch: Zach Nauta, Warren Hills (D1); Aaron Merkey, Lenape Valley (D2); Nick Giordano, Newton (D3); Jayson Parisi, Morris Knolls (D2); Dominick LaRusso, Roxbury (D2); Sean Finnegan, Sparta (D3); Shane Kobis, High Point (D3); Shannon Grogan, North Warren (D1).

Notes: Weight class in flux right now as we could see some movement with guys at 132. Merkey missed all of last week, so we'll keep an eye on him. Nauta had a nice 6-5 win over Kolonia last Wednesday and finished fifth at HWS. Agans finished third with a 15-6 major over Giordano. Scrivani rolled to his second straight tri-county title. Loughney, who has a loss to Agans, handed Nauta a 5-3 loss in OT on Dec. 28. Agans beat Nauta, 9-4, at HWS.

145

1. Sr. Jared Kobis, High Point (D3)
2. Jr. Nick Palumbo, Lenape Valley (D2)
3. So. Brian Meyer, Phillipsburg (D1)
4. Jr. Dominic Fano, Montville (D2)

Others to watch: Cole Nagle, Vernon (D3); Anthony Rispoli, Pope John (D3); Jake DeLuca, Newton (D3); Michael Roumes, Roxbury (D2); Chris Schlegel, Mendham (D1).

Notes: Kobis scored a 4-1 win over Palumbo at 152 on Wednesday. Kobis missed the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex Tournament, where Palumbo won the 145-pound title by decking Meyer in 1:41. Palumbo also stuck Vanwingerden, who was fourth. Grecco, who has spent most of the season at 145, has appeared at 138 so he moves out of the rankings here for now.

152

1. Sr. Anthony Duardo, North Warren (D1)
2. Sr. Tommy Miller, Roxbury (D2)
3. Sr. Alex Zangrilli, Pequannock (D4)
4. So. Marco Gaita, West Morris (D1)
5. Sr. Anthony Carida, Hackettstown (D1)

Others to watch: Edward Marucci, Montville (D2); Connor McClellan, Mendham (D1); Sal Puglisi, Pompton Lakes (D4); Ryan Weston, DePaul (D4); Jonathon Borgognoni, Newton (D3); Dylan Minter, Kittatinny (D3); Shane Connolly, Jefferson (D3).

Notes: Duardo became just the second North Warren wrestler to win a Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex Tournament title -- joining former state placewinner Kevin Brown (2010) -- with a 5-1 win over Carida, who enters at No. 5. Minter, who lost 6-1 to Carida in the semis, beat Borgognoni, 5-2, for third place.

160

1. Sr. Craig Roumes, Roxbury (D2)
2. Sr. Christian Dalcais, West Milford (D4)
3. Sr. DJ Wissing, Phillipsburg (D1)

Notes: Wissing was held out of the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex Tournament after returning to the lineup last week after sustaining an ankle injury. Ditto for Ostir. Spezza beat Molfetto, 11-6, in the third-place bout.

170

1. Sr. Spencer Carey, DePaul (D4)
2. Sr. Daniel Kilroy, Wayne Hills (D4)
3. Sr. Al Falco, Sparta (D3)
4. Jr. Josh Klimek, Kittatinny (D3)
5. Sr. Dylan Porcaro, West Milford (D4)

Others to watch: Nico Negrini, Pompton Lakes (D4); Lance Fischer, Newton (D3); Jacob Cougle, Morris Knolls (D2); Anthony Roessner, Warren Hills (D1); Dillon Fazliu, Montville (D2); Liam Gorman, High Point (D3).

Notes: Carey dropped a 6-5 decision to Bergen Catholic state champ Joe Grello in a recent dual meet, so that's good enough to make Carey the new No. 1. Kilroy (10-0) decked Falco on Dec. 27. The Sparta wrestler had a good showing at the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex Tournament, dropping a 7-3 decision in the finals to Hunterdon Central's Michael Iodice, fourth in Region 5 last season. Klimek took third at HWS. Fischer began practicing in hopes of going with a torn ACL.

182

1. Jr. Brandon Kui, DePaul (D4)
2. Sr. Luke Drugac, Morris Knolls (D2)
3. Sr. David LoCascio, Kinnelon (D4)
4. Sr. PJ Chak, Wayne Valley (D4)

Notes: Kui won a 3-2 decision over Bergen Catholic freshman phenom Josh McKenzie in a dual meet. Mafaro, an impressive freshman, won the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex title with a thrilling 3-2 win over Fisher in the second rideout. But losses to Chak and Pico keep Mafaro outside the Top 5. Frumolt finished third after a 3-1 loss to Fisher in the semifinals.

195

1. Sr. Patrick Daly, Pequannock (D4)
2. Sr. Dean Drugac, Morris Knolls (D2)
3. Jr. Joseph Soreco, DePaul (D4)

Others to watch: Kevin Lewis, High Point (D3); Jacob Tareky, Wayne Valley (D4); Jake Brown, Pope John (D3); Kurt Nemeth, Warren Hills (D1); Adam Schlereth, Newton (D3).

Notes: Horun dominated a strong weight class at the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex Tournament -- scoring a 7-2 win over Palumbo in the final. Brown, who lost 3-1 to Palumbo in the semifinals, finished fourth, while Lewis decked Nemeth for fifth. Horun decked Lewis in 28 seconds in the quarterfinals. Palumbo bested Lewis, 5-1, on Wednesday in a dual meet.

220

1. Sr. Scott Lavelle, DePaul (D4)
2. Jr. Robert Melise, Phillipsburg (D1)
3. So. Liridon Laka, Montville (D2)

Notes: Lavelle returned to action and went 4-0 in dual meets last week after missing the Powerade Tournament. Melise dropped Hall, 10-5, to win his first Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex Tournament title. Hall pinned his way to the championship round. Herbert finished fourth, while Oberly took fifth.

285

1. Sr. Kyle Nothnagel, Phillipsburg (D1)
2. Jr. Parker Fox, Montville (D2)
3. So. Robbie Gennat, Sparta (D3)
4. Sr. Alex Kaltenhauser, West Morris (D1)
5. Sr. Avery Sheruda, Jefferson (D3)

Others to watch: Rich Fritzky, Lenape Valley (D2); Tyler Pittenger, Newton (D3); Taylan Zafis, Warren Hills (D1); Daniel Colabella, Mount Olive (D1); Nick Sanders, Pompton Lakes (D4); Matthew Varone, Wayne Hills (D4); Zack Sieb, Morris Catholic (D2); Eric Lindstrom, West Milford (D4); Jake Pluta, Wayne Valley (D4).

Gennat rebounded to nip Fritzky, 3-2, in an overtime tiebreaker for third place. Pittenger took fifth at HWS. Sheruda enters after a 6-4 win over Fritzky in a dual meet. Fox moves up one spot following a 3-2 loss -- his first of the season -- to Brick Memorial state runner-up Nick Rivera in a dual meet,
