Welcome to Wallkill Valley Regional High School in Hardyston Township (not Hamburg) where we kick off the Region 1 Tournament for the 32nd time here at Richard C. Mirshak Memorial Gymnasium.
There was a change at 182 pounds that forced the bracket to be re-seeded, as Morris Hills senior Jose Delgado, who was fourth in District 2, enters the field in place of Roxbury's Peter Sutton. Delgado assumes the No. 5 seed. See below for the updated first-round pairings.
In another change involving Morris Hills, senior Dylan Sullivan (missed weight), who was the No. 5 seed, is out at 126. Here are the new seeds: 1. Noble, 2. Hrycak, 3. Ritchie, 4. Luciano, 5. Silva, 6. Vozzo, 7. Pidoto, 8. Medina.

Loughney takes bottom and gets two and two off a peterson for 6-4 lead. Upset brewing here. The No. 7 seed falls. Morales was picked by a few, including myself to reach the finals.

After some debate between the Butler coaches and the officials regarding Rosalia's start on top -- an rarely seen move in which he reaches over the back of the opponent crossarm -- Luciano hips over and gets the fall.
