Wrestling: Streaks to host Alonzo Widenor Night

In a very classy move, the Warren Hills wrestling match with Phillipsburg on Wednesday, Jan. 22 will be held in honor of Alonzo Widenor, the Blue Streaks Super Fan who died shortly before the season.

Anyone wearing camouflage overalls -- Widenor's trademark along with his long white beard -- will receive free admission. So sport your camouflage gear in his honor.

Widenor's favorite seat in the Warren Hills gym has been saved in his honor and will remain vacant all season. In addition, the fastest pin award presented annually at the John Goles Invitational now bears his name. Warren Hills junior heavyweight Andrew Pacheco was the recipient this season for his 27-second fall at the 56th event on Dec. 27, 2013.
