Breakdown: Warren Hills rates as decided favorite for the second straight year in this classic Warren County rivalry. Second year it's on a Friday night, which is becoming a popular evening for wrestling in these parts. Some good potential matchups at 145 and 285. Thorsen, a former District 1 runner-up, has lost most of two seasons with injuries and is primed for a good senior campaign. Matchup at 285 could be the first of several between two of the better ones in District 1 and Region 1, as well as the county tournament. Appleby scored a 10-2 major in the District 1 quarters last season, following Pacheco's 5-4 win in the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex Tournament. Streaks are heavy favorites at 106 through 132, and get the nod at 152, 160, 170 and 195. Seaters have the edge at 145, 182 and 220. Figure 138 to be a tossup as Warren Hills junior Justin Pidoto (Region 1 qualifier in 2011) is out with a head injury. I can see the hosts winning five bouts, but that's about it. Streaks pile up the bonus points and may give Hosbach the chance to rest some regulars in their tune-up for Saturday's big quad at home.
Prediction: Warren Hills, 42-19.
