Notes: Caso scored an 8-7 win over Harrison on Saturday, so Caso jumps up to the No. 2 spot. Day, who was previously ranked, returned to the P'burg lineup and sits at No. 5. Injury time: Jacob Falleni, Lenape Valley (D2).

Notes: Markus avenged a loss last season to Howell's Kyle Slendorn, with a 4-2 win on Thursday in a battle of state qualifiers. Falleni is out, possibly for the season, with a broken hand, according to Patriots coach Doug Vetter. That opens the door for Wulff to slide in at No. 5. Wulff decked Deehan at the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex Tournament, while Falleni beat Deehan, 10-6 .

120

1. Jr. Shane Metzler, West Morris (D1)
2. So. Jake Rotunda, Pope John (D3)

Notes: Metzler majored O'Rourke, 9-1, on Saturday, in a rematch of their memorable semifinal bout in the John Goles Invitational last month. Metzler came off his back to deck O'Rourke in that one. Carida hasn't been at 120 since the tournaments in December, floating between 126 and 132. He scored a solid 10-2 win over Mount Olive's Dylan Hanlon last week. Gerndt, who missed time with an injury, re-enters at No. 4. He stuck Mount Olive's Ryan Hanlon last week.

Notes: Stanich solidified his ranking with a 6-3 win over Brick Memorial's Gianni Ghione, a state runner-up at 113 pounds last season. O'Shea scored a 4-2 decision over Garcia on Saturday at 132. We didn't get a Valli-Renne matchup on Saturday, as Renne weighed in at 132. This is one stacked weight class.

Injury time: Brandon Paetzell, Phillipsburg (D1).

Notes: Klinger, who enters the week seven wins shy of 100 for his career, scored a 7-5 win over McCarthy last week in a very entertaining bout, and scored a 15-6 major over Old Tappan's Peter Andresen, a Region 2 qualifier, on Saturday. Kobis' 1-0 win over Reimers on Saturday shakes things up. Kobis, who had been at 138 most of the season, is the new No. 3. Agans also dropped to 132 and enters at No. 5. McCarthy, a very tough freshman, is out for now. He dropped a 12-9 decision to Hanover Park's Sean Conley, who lost 10-2 to Reimers on Jan. 7.

Injury time: Zach Nauta, Warren Hills (D1); Aaron Merkey, Lenape Valley (D2).

Notes: With the reshuffling at 132, LaRusso enters here for the first time this season after a 6-4 loss in sudden victory to Loughney on Wednesday. Merkey (mono) is one of five injured wrestlers for the Patriots who are likely done for the season. Nauta did not weigh-in on Saturday and may miss some time due with an undisclosed injury.

Notes: Solid at the top here. Palumbo, who pinned Nagle at the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex Tournament, scored a 14-3 win over Vanwingerden on Saturday. Palumbo is unbeaten at this weight, losing 4-1 to Kobis at 152 on Jan 6. Nagle pinned Roumes earlier this season, while Roumes owns a 4-2 win over Vanwingerden

Duardo, who won his weight at the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex Tournament, followed up with a 9-4 win over Gaita on Saturday. That makes it a clean sweep for Duardo, who has beaten all four wrestlers below him. Miller beat Gaita, 7-6, on Wednesday.
