Newton field hockey coach Lisa Bechtel will be presented with the Robert Martin Herbstman Award at the annual Moravian College Athletic Hall of Fame inductions on Nov. 4.
Bechtel, a 1988 Moravian graduate, was a four-year letterwinner in softball and earned All-Conference honors. She also participated on the field hockey and basketball teams for the Greyhounds.
The Herbstman Award recognizes an alumnus or alumna whose qualities of teamwork, leadership and selflessness exemplify the spirit of Moravian College athletics.
